This straightforward 30s travelogue about California is historically interesting for the view it gives us of California in the 30s. Perhaps the most dated aspect of it is that it was made by a steamship line, and it assumes we’ve taken a cruise through the Panama Canal in order to get there.

This black-and-white, silent film from the 40s shows us a series of scenic views of things to see and do in California. That’s it, really. It’s sort of like a film version of one of those postcard strips, only in black-and-white. It does have some historical value, though.
