THE KID Charlie Chaplin 1921 silent, black & white

The story and the acting of the people, everything fits together here. Raising a kid which does not belong to you, Charlie Chaplin touches a topic that cannot easily be discussed; especially when thinking of CC as an artist whose strength can be found in comedies. In this film he is able to show that he has width of his talent: in the drama and in the as well.
This is a film worthy to watch again and not just one time. Even though the plot can easily be remembered, it is the style of acting and the atmosphere that this film has which makes it special. run time 67 minutes

The Kid was Charlie Chaplin’s first full-length movie. It, more than anything else to that date, made Chaplin a living legend. It took over a year to produce, and was an incredible success for Chaplin.silent, black & white

This was the first movie that i saw and from that moment on i started watching all of his movies. However,The Kid is one of my all favorite b&w and silent movies. Charlie’s the best
