Check out the size of the mad doctor’s glasses……….Character actor and Buchanan discovery Bill Thurman, later in several major feature films, began in Texas with b-movies, including roles in most of the films of Larry Buchanan. Billy has a dual role in this, one of my favorite of Buchanan’s $25,000, filmed-in-a-week, AIP made-for-TV monster epics, both as Mr. West and as the Swamp Creature itself. No great shakes, but fun and crazy late-night viewing, best viewed while sprawled on a couch with plenty of pizza and root beer. And heck, if you get too bored, there’s always the delightfully sexy Francine York. Rates an easy 5 stars from me on my highly subjective fun scale, and after all, if a film ain’t fun
